Quite a beautiful spot and I can only imagine how pretty it must be when those elms have their leaves. Though there is something starkly beautiful about them in their leafless state. Hope you were able to grab a bit of rest and quiet time the following day. I love the school holidays too, at least the start of them, but by the end I can feel a little worn down. It is then that I am most grateful for the hours they are at school!Taniahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00123593037593548003noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6004458534993714527.post-80650856119768833282013-07-29T15:17:07.515+10:002013-07-29T15:17:07.515+10:00Gorgeous photos Mel! The Winter school holidays are tough. I live in the Blue Mountains and it gets too cold somedays to get out and about. I keep a school holiday folder and every time I come across a good idea I pop it in. Then when we reach desperation stage, about the first Tuesday in the the holidays, LOL, we search the folder for ideas. Luckily we are only an hours train ride from Sydney which is a goldmine of stuff to do. I am also a teacher so I threaten the kids with school work if they start complaining about being bored.Vanessahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15706494291838152826noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6004458534993714527.post-80881825391264978042013-07-24T05:02:02.559+10:002013-07-24T05:02:02.559+10:00Oh but I feel so thankful for the green summer her...Oh but I feel so thankful for the green summer here in the US when I look at your wintery pictures! It apparently doesn't carry the disease but it is just a matter of time and it will be a costly exercise to cure the disease once infected. The Elms are already looking sad because of the drought....Mel @ Coal Valley Viewhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00773581188651200076noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6004458534993714527.post-56128530525377547932013-07-23T22:20:48.413+10:002013-07-23T22:20:48.413+10:00Winter wonderland!Winter wonderland!Oliviahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09853242795497420522noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6004458534993714527.post-41416938186478143132013-07-23T22:05:49.154+10:002013-07-23T22:05:49.154+10:00What a beautiful place to explore. Being couped indoors is one if the hardest things and i have to confess that it's been one if my worste struggles since falling ill especially during school hols and not being able to get out and go for walks with the kids or just go to thd park. I love walking and always use to find that it just alters everyone's mood, sometimes not for the better I have to add. You sound like an amazing mum, our hols are about to start and we have six weeks, which is such a very long time! Lets hope the rain goes away.
